Been thinking back on 2025 and have a few “bests” to share. Some of these are business related. Most are personal. But in the spirit of always trying my best, here is a look back (in no particular order):
Face Your Fears Best: I donated blood 5 times
Golf Best: Chip in eagle on my home course’s #1 handicap
Papa Best: Grumpy granddaughter Callie finally smiled at me while 4-year-old Mason told me I was his best friend (okay, I am one of five best friends he has, but a win is a win)
Business Best: Record year for Sales Vault. HUGE jump over last year
Stepdad Best: Nostalgic weekend in Maine for the Berry kids
Cooking Best: Fluffy Pancakes recipe was a HUGE hit with friends in California (FarkaBerry dot com)
Health Best: Better physical shape at 65 than at 60
Birthday Best: The Sales Vault’s 5th birthday is this Thursday (technically not a ’25 best, but worth a mention!)
LinkedIn Best: Three posts went viral
Consumer Best: Called out two companies for dishonest product descriptions
Financial Best: Perfect 850 credit rating…for a hot minute
Sales Vault’s Best New Program: 90 Day New-to-Sales Program far exceeded my expectations
Sporting Event Best: Watched the French Open finals during breakfast, jumped on a 3+ hour flight to Orlando and watched the fifth set tie breaker at an airport bar
Wordle Best: One!
High School Best: Looked up HS best friend, had dinner
Wife’s Birthday Gift Best: Multi-city comedy tour to see John Mullaney (awful), Nate Bargatze (AMAZING!), Jim Gaffigan (postponed), Fred Armison (brilliant), Mike Birbiglia (clever), and Nick Kroll (annoying).
Printing Impressions Best Column: The Six Phases of AI Mastery
Shaky Best: Minor earthquake while on the phone
Guy Pals Best: My Monday Night Pickleball Gang is a solid group of go-to friends
Best Work Partner: My wife is simply the best. There is no one better.
Okay, 2026, the bar is set awfully high. 2025 was a whirlwind of amazing experiences. You have a lot to live up to. Do your best!
