Good morning!

Do you love what you do? Do you wake up excited for the challenges of the day ahead? When someone asks you about your job, do you highlight the positives or complain about the negatives?

If you don’t love what you do, I have the perfect solution. Following this advice is guaranteed to relieve you of your stress, angst, and any anger you have surrounding your job. Ready? Here comes…

Quit.

Some people admire wealth and envy status. I admire passion and envy success, but the kind of success that comes from equal parts generous spirit and problem-solving.

If you spend any time at all on LinkedIn, you’ll notice one common trait among the more popular posts. They are from people who love what they do. Further, you constantly get the feeling their life’s mission is to help others. They are givers and they exude that message.

Want proof?

Search Kelly Mallozzi or Trish Witkowski or Warren Werbitt or Deb Corn or Dave Rosendal or Vicki Krull or Catherine Monson or Ryan Farris or Chris Hyde or Michael Canino or Kate Dunn or Tonya Powers or Amanda Bronowski or Madeline Farquharson or Allison Farquharson or Melissa Jones. This group and many others share a common trait. Go look. You’ll see.

If you are lucky, you will find a job which suits your personality and skills.

If you are lucky, that job will challenge you to grow. Constantly.

If you are lucky, that job will keep you up at night as you seek a solution for a problem.

If you are lucky, your efforts will be appreciated.

If you are lucky, you will be inspired by those around you.

If you are lucky, you will be the inspiration for others.

If you are lucky, when you think of your job you will ask, “How lucky am I?”

If this is not the case AND you have followed the fourth of The Four Agreements and done your best, then quit and go find something else to do which does meet this criteria for you.

But hold your head high. You have not failed. You have successfully found a job that was a bad fit.

Go get lucky!
