Good morning!
Here we are, the end of a series of five Short Attention Span Sales Tips designed to help you get ready for September 8, a day when people put down the lemonade and start thinking about business again.
Are you ready?
If you have been following my Monday tips this month, you have heard me talk about a sales sprint to the finish of 2026. You have multiple campaigns ready. You have sales activity goals. You have a long list of companies and people to call. You have your sales pitch at the ready.
The final piece is accountability.
You will need someone to keep you on track. This is the step most people skip. Subsequently, this is why they fail. Without someone helping you establish and meet those sales activity goals, you will fail, too.
New salespeople will fail because of self-doubt and fear.
Lone sales reps and selling owners will fail because they’ll make other choices.
Legacy salespeople will get bored.
So, your final piece of homework for August is to find an accountability buddy. You have five days to get it done. And the good news is, it will be quiet this week as people focus on their kids getting back to school and others wring the last drops of fun out of summer.
The three most important selling months of the year are now upon us. If you’ve followed this month’s tips, you are locked and loaded and ready for success.
