Good morning!
Do you have time to make seven sales calls a day?
Probably not.
When I ask a live audience that question, almost everyone— save for the Newbies— vehemently deny they can make any more calls than they’re already making.
Okay, then can you make two sales calls?
Oh sure, they reply. We could definitely make two.
Great! Then make two sales calls at a time several times during the day.
Voilà!
Here’s the thing, I totally understand that you don’t have time to sit and commit to making a large number of sales calls with everything else that’s going on in your day. However, sneaking in two calls at a time in between other tasks is a great way to generate some sales momentum.
Try this:
When you are done watching or reading this tip, you have a decision to make. Which task will you take up? But before you get to it, make two calls.
Boom-boom.
Now, get to that task. And when you’re done with that one, but before you get to the next thing on your to do list, make two calls.
Boom-boom.
Do that all day long and you will shoot past seven calls a day. In fact, you’ll find yourself in double digits and the next time someone asks you, “Do you have time to make seven sales calls a day?” You can still say no, but then you can follow it with “actually, I have time to make 12!”
