Good morning!

Have you put any thought into 2022? Perhaps you’ve set some goals already but if not, allow me to do your thinking for you. In fact, I want to make this sales tip about four goals I have for you for 2022:

  1. Amazon-level communications;
  2. Craftsman-level reliability;
  3. Apple-level service;
  4. Your best friend-level responsiveness and reliability;

Amazon-level communications
How frustrating is it when you order something online that the last you hear about it until it shows up? One of the many things evil giant Amazon does is to constantly let you know where the item is, right down to taking a picture of it when it hits your door. Make this your goal, your resolution. Resolve to make certain 2022 customers have all the information they need never have to call you to ask, “Where’s my job?”

Craftsman-level Quality
Growing up, Sears craftsman was the gold standard for tools. They offered a lifetime guarantee. If you’re old enough to remember, make this your goal, your resolution. Resolve to make certain 2022 customers are thrilled with the quality of your work, both in terms of production and sales.

Apple-level Service
Speaking of evil giants, say what you will about Apple but there is no doubting their ability to exceed expectations consistently. Make this your goal, your resolution. Resolve to make certain 2022 customers walk away from an experience with you so amazing, they share it with others is an example of what great service looks like.

And finally,

Best Friend-level Responsiveness and Reliability
Your phone rings. Someone needs help. Now. You drop what you’re doing and go. That’s your goal when it comes to responsiveness. Resolve to make certain 2022 customers know that when they contact you, they can count on lightning-fast response. Be that reliable.

19 days. That’s the average amount of time it takes for New Year’s resolutions to be broken. These four goals are sustainable. Easier to maintain than the diet. Harder to quit than your promise to exercise three times a week.

Make it your resolution to be your best communicator, deliver the highest quality, be of top service, and respond with speed and gratitude.
