There are moments in life when a pinnacle is reached.
I remember coaching girls softball and our weakest player stepped to the plate at a critical moment: The winning run was at third. All season long she had done nothing but strike out. Today, however, she got a hit and won the game. I was the first base coach and I grabbed her and said, “Never forget this feeling. You can achieve anything.”
When my daughter, Kate, announced she was going to quit smoking I had serious doubts. Up to that point in your life, she lacked discipline. To my surprise and pride, she kicked the habit 100% by herself. I sent her a note that read, “You’ve just achieved one of the most difficult accomplishments known to man. If you can do this, you can do anything.”
Successful salespeople add to their success simply because they sell with a successful attitude. They believe and it happens.
Changing your attitude costs nothing. Sell like you are struggling and you will continue to struggle. Sound like you don’t need the business and it will come to you.
Do you want to be bulletproof as a salesperson? Here’s good news: You already are!
Now, go out and be bulletproof.
