Good morning!
I am one sales tip short. So, the first thing I need to do this morning is to write, film, and edit the sales tip. After that, I can get to the task of…
Wait. Before I do that sales tip, I need to pull together the marketing for the upcoming AI boot camp we are holding in January. That is going to be…
Nuts! I forgot to send Emma my thoughts on what we should cover in that boot camp. I’d better get to that next. My list is around here…
Speaking of that boot camp, I have this great idea for a new sales vault feature. Every month, we should…
And so it goes. The scattered mind of the ADD salesman. We (myself included) jump from one thought bubble to the next. This idea leads to that idea. And the task list grows and grows until we become overwhelmed and paralyzed by the enormity of opportunities.
I was 38-years-old when I found out my scattered thinking was not normal. Since then, I have come across hundreds of others whose brains works like a pinball machine, too. Over time, I have learned three important keys to Productivity:
- Several times a day, ask yourself, “What is the best use of my time right now?”
- Limit the number of hours in the working day and you will get more done;
- Preparation is the key to good time management.
If you want to grow your sales in 2025, you will need to learn how to make better use of your selling time. So important is this topic, I am devoting this week and next week’s sales tips to this subject as well as to make it the focus of the Sales Vault in January.
There is a fourth lesson but it’s more like an observation and I will leave you to ponder it: There is one word top performing sales people use more than the others. That word is “no.” Use it more in your selling day and watch your productivity grow.
