How One Intro Email Resulted in a Phone Call

Bill Farquharson sent an email to a prospect. The prospect called Bill right away. How did that happen? It has to do with something at the bottom of the email; something you can read about in this week's blog.

I sent a prospect an email and got an immediate phone call in return.

“I got your email and was curious about that line at the bottom. What does it mean?” he asked.

He was referring to, “A good vendor is as important as a good customer,” a statement made to a 24-year-old Billy Farquharson by a client. I was so taken by those words, I wrote them down immediately and began living, believing, and using them every day.

After I got over the shock of a solicitation email resulting in a phone call, I answered, “It means, I am special. I choose my clients every bit as much as they choose me and, you know what? They are damned lucky to have me as a vendor.”

Long silence…and then:

“When can we get together?”

In addition to being a great way to communicate a message, your email is a great way to make a special statement; one that differentiates, gets noticed, and might even win you a phone call.

What’s in your email?
