There is no need to send out a sales tip this week. No one is working…probably…and I’d imagine no one is interested anyway.
It would be foolish to make sales calls this week. Customers who aren’t taking time off don’t want to hear from a sales rep anyway.
Well, seeing as I am already filming and have the lighting set up, I might as well crank out an encouraging word or two. Let’s see, what shall I talk about…?
Good morning!
If you are one of the few to be working this week, good for you. Thanks for checking in and watching my sales tip. Today, I have three words for you:
Don’t.
Not.
Sell.
If you are making the assumption that no one wants to hear from you this week; that people are probably on vacation or probably not interested or probably don’t want to hear from the sales rep, I guarantee that you will successfully miss what could have been a great opportunity.
What if I told you your competition was making this exact same assumption? What if you knew that because no one else was calling, your call or your email would be unique and—maybe, just maybe—you’ll get a response?
Yes, this is a wonky week and yes, lots of people are taking some time off. Hey, if you choose to kick back and get some rest, I wouldn’t blame you. But, by definition your differentiator demands you do something different.
So, if everyone else believes this to be a pointless selling week, you will stand out simply by choosing to believe differently.
Don’t not sell.
Happy New Year and happy anniversary to The Sales Vault, which went live one year ago this Friday night!
