“Never Split the Difference” by Chris Voss

This is a book about negotiation.

Author Chris Voss is a former FBI hostage negotiator who brought his tactics to the business world. Most of us are lousy negotiators. This book will help you to get what you want by teaching you what to say in critical moments.

Technically, I’ve never read this book. I have, however, listened to the audio version several times. While not all of us take in information audibly, I recommend giving this book a listen instead of a read. The audio “performer” has a gruff voice and gives you the image of an FBI tough guy that I believe adds to the message.

Oh, and I must say, when Chris messaged me on LinkedIn after reading my recommendation of his book in a Printing Impressions column, I was a little star-struck!
