Are you one of those people who don’t make sales calls because you think you are bothering someone? If so, Bill Farquharson has something to tell you in his blog this week (60 sec. read).

People avoid making sales calls for a lot of reasons. Some don’t know what to say. Others procrastinate. There are good reasons and bad reasons to avoid making a sales call.

Actually… I’m trying to think of a good reason and can’t come up with one.

One bad reason is when you feel as though you are bothering someone and therefore don’t make any calls.

Of course you are bothering someone! Do you honestly think they are sitting around with nothing to do?

There is no right time to make a sales call on someone. It is absolutely going to interrupt their day. Therefore, it absolutely better be worth their time. if you have done your homework and are ready to make a valuable sales call, something which will help the person on the other end, it’s worth any annoyance you might bring to them to hear your idea. Otherwise, yes, you really are bothering someone.

Do you have an idea? Can you help a prospect? Did you put some thought into your call? Good, then go bother someone.

You need this...

Trust me. I'm in Sales.

Everyone is asking where Bill got the T-shirt. Trust him, he's selling it on Amazon!
